Fair and Green is a small independant ethical shop situated in the beautiful market town of Newark, Notts. We stock a wide range of Fair Trade, organic, and environmentally friendly products. Fair and Green prides itself on having ethical values at its core. We believe that by making a few ethical changes to our lifestyles we can live in a more harmonious way with both people and the environment.

Eco Policy

• Our eco products are either recycled (e.g. Remarkable Stationery), organic, from sustainable sources (e.g. Ethletic shoes made using FSC latex), or environmentally friendly (e.g. cleaning products).
• Our electricity is from Good Energy and is from 100% renewable resourses.
• We don't encourage the use of plastic bags and only use paper or compostable carrier bags.
• Fair and Green's shop insurance is through CIS - a more ethical insurance company.
• We recycle and re use our shop packaging as much as possible.
• Fair and Green uses recycled stationery.
• Travel to work at Fair and Green is mainly by bus and travel by car is kept to a minimum and only when really necessary.
• Our website is hosted by Ecological Hosting.

Fair Trade Policy

• It is Fair and Green's policy to only stock fair trade products that either carry the Fair Trade mark, or are from IFAT or BAFTS shops/suppliers.

Many of our products have both fair trade and eco friendly aspects. For example, our Fair Trade aluminum vases are made using recycled aluminium.
